Community Against Violence currently has the following volunteer opportunities:
Second Chances Thrift Shop
We need volunteers to help sort through donations, stock and assist with customers. Second Chances is open Tuesday through Friday from 9am-5pm, and Saturdays from 9am-3pm. Informal training is provided by the shop manager.
Fundraising
Volunteers are needed to plan, organize and staff various fundraising events. Scheduling is usually flexible, volunteers can do as much or as little as they can.
Distribution
Volunteers are needed to distribute CAV literature to various locations in Taos and the Enchanted Circle.
Office Help
Volunteers can help in the front office by serving as a relief receptionist or they can provide help with photocopying, large mailings and filing. Informal training is provided.
Community Awareness
Volunteers are present on an as needed basis to staff tables at various events throughout the year, including health fairs, arts and crafts fairs and fundraising booths at local businesses.
