A benefit for Community Against Violence
Featured this year is a special silent auction stocked by prominent Taos artists in support of Community Against Violence. The auction will be displayed Friday and Saturday, bidding will close at 5:30 pm Saturday with an artist reception from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday.
The 2016 Fair will return to the Sagebrush Inn and Suites Convention Center which proved last year to be an excellent venue, praised by the artisans and public alike. This fair traditionally has local artists and craftspeople exhibiting their work as the premier community kick off to the holiday season. Even Santa Claus stops by to visit with the children on all 3 days from 1 to 3 pm! Photos of the little ones with Santa are available for a reasonable price. Fair hours are Friday, November 25th and Saturday, November 26th 10 am to 6 pm; Sunday, November 27th 11 to 4.
A reasonable and quality lunch buffet offering by the Inn is available at the event daily. Renowned Taos chef Tim Wooldridge has assumed the helm of the Sagebrush kitchen. Meals in their restaurant are exceptional treats. A cash bar is open in the Convention Center for the fairgoers from 4-6 pm Friday and Saturday.
Many hundreds of Taos visitors and residents will enjoy the artists’ work, finding the perfect items to fill stockings and grace their trees, many of them made by neighbors or friends. Those handcrafts include wooden toys, carvings, cutting boards and sculptures; fiesta skirts, quilts, aprons, scarves and other fabric arts; fine silver and beaded jewelry pieces; fine organic soaps and skin care items; paintings, prints, sculptures, photography, ceramics and furniture. Find traditional New Mexican arts including bultos, crosses, tinwork and retablos. See exquisite Native American jewelry, fetishes and pottery.
Artist booth fees and sponsors support Community Against Violence, an organization committed to supporting families in crisis in our community.
Please join us for this premier community event!
Questions about the Fair and artisans interested in exhibiting should contact Annette Bowden at email@example.com or by phone at 575-770-1372
The Sagebrush Inn is located at 1508 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, Taos NM.

October Annual CAV Campaign & Radiothon
Our annual fundraising campaign includes the CAV Radiothon on KTAOs Solar Radio, 101.9. We spend a full 12 hours on the air receiving donations and pledges of support. This year we raised $76,250.35 in 12 hours, which is a great step towards our $150,000 goal for the year! We continue fundraising efforts throughout the month of October.
If you would like to help us meet our goal, please click the Donate button to the left, or call our offices at 575-758-8082 during business hours.
October is nationally designed as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Beginning in September CAV Board members and other Volunteers call existing donors and ask for a renewed pledge of financial assistance.
