Child Abuse - What do I do if I Suspect Abuse? Report your suspicions to New Mexico Statewide Central Intake for Child Protective Services (1-800-797-3260) and local Law Enforcement: New Mexico State Police (758-1466), Taos County Sheriff's Office (751-8593), Taos Police (758-4656) or Taos Pueblo Tribal Police (758-8645). You don't need proof to report, only "reasonable cause to believe." Everyone who suspects abuse and/or neglect in New Mexico is required by law to report it. If you make the report in good faith, you will be immune from civil or criminal liability. You may remain anonymous. |
